Try your hand at glass fusing and make either a bowl or hanging with your own designs.

An opportunity to learn a new skill and have fun being creative with hands on instruction and the freedom to choose what you make.

During the course you will learn all you need to know to produce either a bowl or a wall hanging, including an introduction to different types of glass, how the glass will change in the kiln, do’s and don’ts and how to cut glass.

Your tutor will then take your pieces away at the end of the day to be fired and will be available for collection from the makers mill approx. two weeks later.

Included in the cost of your workshop is tea and coffee throughout the morning and cake.

  • RD Glass
    Glass Artist

Roxanne Denny, a glass artist who designs and makes each piece by hand. She works from her home studio in the Lake District, Cumbria.

She fell in love with glass as University whilst taking an Applied Arts degree. There she was able to try her hand at ceramics, metalwork, silversmithing and woodwork as well as glass. She knew that glass was the material for her as colour had always played a large role in her artwork and she was intrigued by the possibilities that glass held and the way that it played with light.
