Join the talented Kim Tillyer to learn about the printmaking technique of cyanotype.
Cyanotype uses sunlight to create etherial images in shades of blue and white. You will learn about the process and how it can be applied to paper or fabrics. The workshop will be led by local artist and illustrator, Kim Tillyer who often uses cyanotype, with the addition of hand embroidery, in her own work.
In this half day workshop, Kim will provide a range of paper and fabric for participants to experiment with before working on a final design to print on to calico to make into a candle lantern / nightlight.
All materials will be provided, however if you would like to bring along some objects please feel free to do so. Small flat objects (anything that will cast a shadow) such as feathers, pressed flowers, keys, paper stencils etc can be used.
