
Join the wonderful Sarah Ames for an introduction into the exciting art of drawing with your sewing machine.
Free machine embroidery is an exciting way to use your sewing machine to create and embellish designs on fabrics.
Sarah will introduce you to the skills you need to use applique and machine embroidery and guide you through designing and create a small drum lampshade to perfectly co-ordinate and enhance your home.
To Bring:
- Your own working sewing machine with feed dogs that can be lowered. You will also need an embroidery / darning foot.
- A selection of threads and small fabric pieces to suit your home decor.
Please ensure your machine is in good working order and that you are familiar with how to thread the machine/ have the instruction booklet. We do have a spare machine available if needed, please ask to borrow one when you book.
Sarah will provide base fabric for your lampshade, lampshade frames and a selection of small fabric pieces for applique.
Please note there is a £15 material cost payable to the tutor on the day.
