
This workshop will introduce you to basic hand embroidery stitches and how to use them creatively.
You will learn how to use a range of textured threads and yarns to create hand embroidered flowers.
These can be framed or incorporated into textile products such as a decorated bag pocket or a cushion panel or even in a quilt.
This workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Info on techniques and stages – in this workshop you will learn how to use fabrics and fibres to create a coloured background and layer these with stitches using a selection of hand painted yarns in a wide range of thicknesses and textures.
Using simple hand embroidery stitches including straight stitch, couching and French knots you will produce two small embroideries.
Please not there is a £10 material fee paid directly to the tutor on the day
