Join our resident potter Michelle Best at The Makers Mill for a full day of throwing clay on the wheel!
This full day workshop is intended for anyone wishing to have a go at throwing on the pottery wheel. All the basics will be covered including preparing clay, how to throw on the wheel and creating two final pieces that will be fired and glazed by Michelle. Your glazed pots will be available to collect at a later date.
The workshop is for six people and is suitable for beginners and intermediate level. We have three pottery wheels that you will take in turn to practice your throwing. When not on the pottery wheel we can practice wedging clay and handbuilding.
