We are very excited to invite you to join Emma Redfern of Hole House for a TWO FULL DAYS of sewing to create a Wire Frame Bag.
This two day course will guide you through the steps to make your own beautiful wire frame bag. It’s a timeless bag with universal appeal, not just for it’s vintage ‘doctor’s bag’ style but because you can get an awful lot inside this bag!
We will be using the ‘curved base’ option to create a two tone outer, complete with two pockets inside (a zipped pocket and a slip pocket), a bag base and bag feet will give your bag a professional appearance and it’s all finished off with a set of leather bag handles. These will be stitched on by hand so you don’t need to worry about having a fancy sewing machine. Just a domestic machine is enough to sew this bag.
You will need to bring half a meter in total of outer fabric (so that’s a fat quarter of two different outer fabrics) and a meter of lining fabric. All the other materials are all provided.
Please note there is a £40 material charge payable to the tutor on the day.
Included in the cost of your workshop is lunch from the extremely popular Jans Sandwich shop in Keswick.
The tutor of this workshop is Emma Redfern (Hole House)
