Day Workshop 10am till 4pm

This workshop will introduce you to basic hand embroidery stitches and how to use them creatively.

You will learn how to use a range of textured threads and yarns to create hand-embroidered flowers.

These can be framed or incorporated into textile products such as a decorated bag pocket or a cushion panel or even into a quilt.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Info on techniques and stages – in this workshop you will learn how to use fabrics and fibres to create a coloured background and layer these with stitches using a selection of hand-painted yarns in a wide range of thicknesses and textures.

Using simple hand embroidery stitches including straight stitch, couching and French knots you will produce two small embroideries.

Please note there is a £18.50 material fee per person, all materials and tools will be provided for you

This workshop can run on Saturday and Sundays dependent on availability
