Have fun learning to make your very own framed fused glass picture in this introduction to fusing with Roxanne Denny of RD Glass. Discover how glass changes in the heat of the kiln, do’s and don’ts, and learn how to cut glass, before making the artwork with your own design.
You will use glass pieces, crushed glass, glass rods and powdered glass to create your fused glass picture. The framed piece will measure 25cm square once finished. We recommend bringing along images for inspiration to help give you a starting point for your chosen piece.
Your tutor will then take your pieces away at the end of the day to be fired and will be available for collection from the makers mill approx. two to three weeks later.
Please note there is a £10 material cost payable to the tutor on the day.
Included in the cost of your workshop is tea and coffee throughout the morning and cake.

Roxanne Denny, a glass artist who designs and makes each piece by hand. She works from her home studio in the Lake District, Cumbria.
She fell in love with glass as University whilst taking an Applied Arts degree. There she was able to try her hand at ceramics, metalwork, silversmithing and woodwork as well as glass. She knew that glass was the material for her as colour had always played a large role in her artwork and she was intrigued by the possibilities that glass held and the way that it played with light.
Purchase our Gift Vouchers and they can use them on any of our workshops or gallery items.
